Oppo has unveiled its new camera-focused R9 and R9 Plus smartphone a few months ago. The Oppo R9 and R9 Plus are priced at USD $501 and USD $425. The OPPO R9 was on sale from March 24 in China while the R9 Plus was available from April 12.
Undoubtedly, the biggest highlight of the Oppo R9 and R9 Plus is the camera. Well, Oppo has been pushing its selfie-friendly phone features for quite a while now, but these two really demonstrate it with a massive 16MP front camera specially designed for girls to take selfies.
Yes, front camera. OPPO R9 is packed with 16-megapixel front camera with 78.1-degree wide-angle lens and an f/2.0 aperture. That's to say, you can take selfies with a high-pixel camera. In addition, Oppo packs a sensor in its 13-megapixel rear camera, which comes with an f/2.2 aperture. Plus, the R9 Plus is equipped with Sony's IMX298 CMOS sensor in its 16-megapixel rear camera which has an f/2/o aperture. Some features such as PDAF (phase detection autofocus) and 4K video recording are supported. With such outfit, photos taken by this camera are of high quality.
In addition, the R9 camera offers multiple photography modes for selfie shooting, including the professional mode, SD (Super Definition) mode, and more. You can beautify your selfie with its own photo editor like filter, exposure and more.
Inside the R9 smartphone, there is an octa-core Mediatek Helio P10 chipset which runs the show. Also, it comes with four 1GHz cores and four 2GHz cores. There's 4GB of RAM, 64GB of on-board storage, and a microSD card slot for up to 128GB cards. That's why the camera can launch smoothly. And you can store your selfies in the phone because of enough storage.
