Rumors about LG G5 have been sprung up for a long time. On MWC 2016 in Barcelona, LG has finally announced the expecting LG G5 and it will be available in early Feb., 2016. The precious LG models like LG G4, LG G3, and more all adopt plastic material on their back cover. So there're some smartphone fans predicted that LG will still adopt plastic back cover for LG G5. However, to our surprise, it takes metal rear cover instead. Here are some features and specs of this LG new models running on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow).
Design
On LG G5, the device has adopted modular designs.
1. The LG Camera Model
The LG Camera module helps G5 users take better and clearer pictures with the built-in camera. It is also equipped with a 1200mAh battery and a physical wheel for zoom. While you are capturing a photo, you can light press on the camera shutter to focus on the object.
2. LG HiFi with B&O Play.
This module has taken the place of the existing bottom and adds two headphone jacks. It brings a 32-bit DAC with upsampling and 384KHz audio.
Besides, the most unique design of LG G5 might be the bottom cap to remove the battery, unveil the microSD slot and the unique Magic Slot. With this design, it is much simple for us to change the battery or place the microSD card as we wish.
Display
LG G5 has a 5.3-inch QHD resolution screen. Even if it is equipped with LCD display, the display can be always light up. This is different from that on Motorola, which can only display information intermittently. Some of you might worry about the battery consumption issue. Just take it easy, according to LG, the always-on function only takes up 0.8% battery per hour on a fully charged LG G5.
Camera
On the rear camera, we can see a 16MP main camera with OIS as that on V10. However, the front camera goes to 8MP with a wide-lens, which makes it smoother to transit from standard angle to wide angle.
Expandable Storage
There's a 32GB on-board storage on LG G5, with the microSD expansion slot adopted, you can theoretically expand the storage up to 2TB. This is a really considerable size because not a large amount of smartphones have reached this.
All in all, LG G5 is worth waiting because of the surprising new features that it brings to us. What's your point of view on this LG G5 smartphone phones unveiled on MWC 2016?
