1. Price

In 2013, Motorola began to update its Moto G flagship annually and on May 17, 2016, it launched the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus. Available at under£200, these decent models target the mid-end Android smartphone market. But there is a price difference. In the UK, the Moto G4 will be priced at $190 (£169) or so while Moto G4 Plus at $223 (£199).

2. Camera

One of the other differences is the camera. Moto G4 comes with a 13MP camera while the G4 Plus boots up to a 16MP snapper.

3. RAM and Internal Memory

When it comes to the RAM and storage, Moto G4 is equipped with 16/32 GB internal storage and 2 GB RAM. But Moto G4 is more advantageous with more versions. The phone come with 32 GB internal memory will boast a 3 GB RAM, and the one with 64 GB internal memory will feature 4 GB RAM. More specifically, Moto G4 is coupled with bigger storage and this model will run faster.

4. Fingerprint scanner

It is only Moto G4 that has a fingerprint scanner, which provides extra security for your personal data. Then scanner sits below the screen and requires a recorded fingerprint to unlock the phone. This feature is like the one in Galaxy S7.

Moto X Pure Edition

Compared with Moto X Pure Edition, a flagship released in 2015, G4 and G4 Plus have better configuration in terms of platform. More specifically, G4 and G4 Plus run on Android 6.0.1 while Moto X Pure Edition works on Android 5.1.1. Other features are equal. For example, Moro X Pure Edition is of a 3 GB RAM and 16/32/64 GB internal memory. And it also supports 128GB SD card. Besides, Moto X Pure Edition has 21 MP rear camera and 4K video recording function. The phone also supports fast battery charging and advanced water protection.
